My sweet Shelby was so pitiful, she has a tough time standing, sitting & laying. She would be 16 this October. I made the tough decision to let her rest. I have been considering it for months, but selfishly wanted her to stay around forever... And she would try I am sure! I know I couldn't get up the nerve to do it, so I spoiled her rotten while home and on 8/15/13 my sweet Shelby went to Heaven where she can run & play and not hurt. It was way harder than I thought & still tough. But I did it for her, she did nothing but love me and I wanted her to not suffer anymore.
So we made it back o CO and started back to school. It wasn't as tough as the first day, but not too easy either. Cooper loves school, so I k ow we made the right decision putting him in. He just hasn't adjusted to not being with me everyday. He has mostly good days now, every once and a while he still tears up. Spencer doesn't like drop off, he is going to The Goddard three days a week from 9-12:30. I am not confident yet that he is learning what he needs to, but he is getting time away from me a few days a week which he needs. Spencer is attached to me right now, he literally has give in the same room as me. I seemed to remember Coop going through this phase, so must be the age.
We found out last week that Kurt isn't coming back to FRR next season. That really bums me out because Todd has one more season on his contract here. I have committed myself to that 2 year contract I my thinking, but not knowing who the driver will be is nerve racking. I had hoped Todd & Kurt could go somewhere together when the time was right. But Kurt time was obviously shorter than Todd's. The boys both started baseball with i9 sports. It is a casual, fun league & both have had one game. They both loved it. I am coaching Cooper team and helping with Spencer's... Should be fun!! Nana is coming tomorrow for a visit, so we are excited about that. Saturday is the last race to get into the chase and #78 is sitting 10th... A good week will get them in, but a bad week throws them out. Here we go.....
